A Father’s Priceless Gift

The shock on my husband’s face when  he found out we were indeed having a girl was absolutely priceless! He was literally stunned speechless! Robert, my husband, actually walked out of the Dr.s office that day without having said a word. He’d been so sure we were having our third boy that he’d never entertained the thought of a daughter being a possibility. It’s not that he didn’t want a daughter as he in fact had our daughter’s name picked out pre-kids, pre-marriage and pre-dating. In fact he’d only ever had a girls name picked out and was adamant that if he ever had a girl he’d want her name to be Naomi. It’s one of the biggest reasons I fell in love with him, he has heart. He hoped, he prayed, he planned not just for a Wife, not just for a family, not just for sons but for a daughter named Naomi.   So why was he so quiet? Why no WOOPS of joy? Where was the ear splitting smile? “ Honey are you not excited that we’re having a girl?” I asked him as we walked hand in hand out to our car. He jolted to a stop and turned to look at me, with a worried half smile on his face he replied, “No, I am excited! It’s just that I’m worried about when she hits puberty! I need to start cleaning my guns so our boys and I can sit on the front porch and scare off any boy she tries to bring home!” SAY WHAT!?! 😳 🤦‍♀️😂 “Honey, she’s not even here yet and you have years to prepare!”, I exclaimed.  “Sweetie, it’ll go by in the blink of an eye,” he softly replied to me.

Daddy's Little Girl a.k.a Daddy's Princess finally graced us with her presence on the 4th of July , 2016 . He was enraptured with her from the first moment he held her in his arms. To watch a Man hold his child, change their diapers, bathe ,dress them ,walk up and down the hallway singing to them trying to lull them into sleep is a precious sight to behold .To witness him do all those things with his daughter as well is an unbelievable blessing. Naomi will know what it's like to be treated like a lady, to know her value ,her worth all because of her Father in Heaven, King of Kings and the Daddy he blessed her with, her first love ,her Knight in Shining Armour, her Prince. The man she will measure every other man against as she grows into a woman .

He's raising her right. 😉

Just like that my friends, in the blink of an eye she's three years old !😭

Whenever anyone asks her what her name is she ALWAYS introduces herself as "Princess." From her very first breath her Daddy has always called her "His Princess" and rightly so . All little girls are beautiful Princesses and his Princess will always know that she is loved and cherished as all little girls should be . 👸

Robert wanted to buy her something special, something that would always remind her that she's his Princess . He wanted something that when she looked at it, when she wore it she would always think of him and know that wherever she was ,wherever life took her she would always know that no matter what she is loved for the little girl she is and for the godly woman she will one day grow into . We were looking into a charm bracelet for her when Add A Pearl contacted me for a possible collaboration. After researching the company and reading reviews of there Add A Pearl necklace my husband said "This is it! This is the gift! " Let's just say it turned out to be a collaboration made in heaven. Something fit for a Princess ,something timeless and something that could be passed on to the next generation, perhaps even to his granddaughter one day. Add A Pearl did not disappoint !

It's all in the details, from the way it was wrapped to the personalization it all spoke of love ,something to be cherished ,beauty , something worth caring for . A precious gift for a little girl who is priceless .

Waiting to open Daddy's gift.

A company that takes the time to lovingly package ,gift wrap ,add that special purple bow and personalize it as well speaks volumes to the character of the company . They love what they do and they take the time to do it right .

Her very first pearl necklace from her Daddy ! Add A Pearl uses Akoya Cultured pearls a symbol of classic elegance and timeless beauty. Her pearl was hand strung  on pure silk ! Robert and I are just in awe of the fine quality of her Add A Pearl necklace and the care that went into making it . It's something that will grow with her .

For each special moment between these two a new pearl can be added to her necklace. From their first Daddy & Daughter dance ,to her sweet sixteen to the day she says "I do. " The Add A Pearl Company makes it easy to do by sending you a pre-printed shipping label ,instructions and packaging that will keep your cherished pearl necklace safe as it gets shipped back to them for cleaning ,inspection and the addition of your new pearl for a new memory in the making .

"A fathers job is not to teach his daughter how to be a lady.  It's to teach her how a lady should be treated. " - Pinterest Quote

Next to showing his daughter Jesus, A father showing and teaching his daughter how a lady should be treated is the most priceless gift a father can give to his daughter.

    1. Thank you so much Hilary! It's indeed a rare thing for a man to have his daughter's name picked out pre-kids and pre-marriage. So blessed to be married to the man.:) The Add A Pearl necklace is even more beautiful in person!;)
