Pre COVID Celebration!


Dearest Friends,

I remember what it was like to social gather, to celebrate birthdays with family and friends pre-COVID. It seems like just the other day we celebrated my littlest turning the big ONE. This week he turns THREE!! 😳 Where does the time go!?! 😭 Zachary's first birthday was our last social gathering as two weeks after COVID hit.😢

I remember the day my baby turned ONE! My husband's job was done so layoffs came the day before Zachary's birthday party.  While I was out spending money we were not making any. Ugh!😳🤦‍♀️🙃

That didn't stop us from celebrating our littlest. It was a time for celebration, a time to gather and a time to shower our boy with all the love on his special day. 

We started the day off with Pats Donuts & Kreme in Lima, Ohio. Soooo good, especially their bear claws!!😋 What's your favorite fresh donut place?

After mouth watering donuts we picked up all the goodies for Zach's party and headed back to our campsite to set up. It was 50 degrees that day so we decided an outside party with a campfire and homemade crockpot hot cocoa would be just the thing! 

Just a bit of advice about that crock pot hot cocoa, start is EARLY!! At least two hours before your planning on serving it! I waited to long and it took FOREVER! I felt so bad because as the day grew long it got colder.😟 Live and learn folks, live and learn.🙃

I absolutely adored his first birthday cake and cupcakes we picked up from Sara's Sweets Bakery on Lima, Ohio. We went with the woodland theme.😍😁

The smash cake was made to look like a tree with his name carved into it and the cupcakes were chocolate and vanilla woodland animals. They were delicious and a big hit at his party! 
While picking up the cakes and cupcakes the kids and I tried out their mini Keto strawberry cheesecakes which were quite tasty. 😋

We also had camping themed sugar cookies from The Bakers Cafe in Findlay, Ohio which were all done in buttercream icing and they turned out AH-MAZING! It was my second time ordering custom cookies from them and both times I was pleasantly surprised on how well they turned out and how soft and delicious they were. I love Pinterest!! Anyone else an avid Pinterest user? So much inspiration there especially for party themed food. The themed snacks below were such a big hit with the kids that they were gone in no time. 😁

He is One Happy Camper! Jade and Paiige did a fantastic job on creating the perfect birthday shirt for him! 


It was getting so cold but he was such a trooper in letting us capture these precious moments in time with him.

Camper Renovation Reveal Part 1

I'm EXCITED to finally write to you and show you our camper renovation reveal!!! It's been a long time coming. In fact what was seriously supposed to have taken us two weeks to complete took us FIVE MONTHS to complete. Although she still needs a bit of work she is finally road worthy and ready! She was a disaster when we brought her home. She needed a whole lotta T.M (Time & Money). Neither of which we had but the Lord above supplied. When we first set eyes on her she needed a new faucet for the kicthen sink, a new water heater and a new set of tires as well as the roof sealed as we were advised of a soft spot in the floor in the loft/bedroom area. The soft spot in the floor seemed minor when we looked at it and tested the floor out. All in all she had great potential. As a 1985 39' Royals International with one slide out in the living room she had just enough space that would allow our family of 5 to live comfortably in while on the road. We saw her potential...

Faith Like Potatoes

Potatoes grow beneath the ground, unseen until the time of harvest. You have faith that the potatoes are there and are growing even though you cannot see them. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."- Hebrews 1:1 Potatoes take time to grow, they can take any where from 2 to 4 months (70-120 days) before you can harvest them. The groundwork must be done first then the tilling (preparing the dirt). Once the tilling has been completed then the seeds can be sown or in this instance the potatoes planted. Now after the groundwork has been laid and planting completed one now must have faith, hope that come harvest time a good crop of potatoes will be ready for the plucking. If the weather forecast foretold not a drop of rain this season, in that your area would be in severe drought, would you go ahead and plant those potatoes or forego?
